The Picture Tools Ribbon

The Picture Tools ribbon could very well be in my Top 5 list of new features in Office 2007. I’m regularly working with images in my day job, with blogging and with my variety of web clients. For most of my work I’m using a variety of programs ranging from the free Irfanview, to SnagIt, to […]

Office 2007 Packaging

Here’s the new packaging you should be looking for when you’re browsing your favorite software retailer shopping for the next version of Microsoft Office suite.
I’ve been running Office 2007 now for about 6 months or so across the various iterations. I’ve been pleased with the new features and organization of information. It does take a […]

Download Microsoft Office Accounting 2007 FREE!

I’ve been using Microsoft Money ever since I’ve had money and a computer to track it with, but Microsoft has a new product out and now you can download the full application for free here. It’s called Microsoft Office Accounting 2007.
I’ve been looking for something like this for awhile. Of course there was the deluxe […]

Printing Labels

My wife needed to print some labels tonight and asked me how to do it with “the new Word”. I’d never done it before so I told her to give me a minute and I’d figure it out and show her.
Let’s just say I needed more than a minute.
With the new ribbon interface, I knew […]

Running Office 2007 Full-time

Yesterday evening I installed the full Office 2007 beta on my work laptop. This is a big step, but I figure it’s a good one to really pound out and test Office 2007 in the real world for me. I also figured it would help me get some more information and posts to get included […]

Mac Reminds Us They Do Office

The latest Mac ads have a little bit of a focus on Mac being able to run Microsoft Office. These ads are a brilliant piece of marketing in my opinion. I think they do an excellent job of at least causing people to think about switching if they’re currently a PC user.
What about you? Have […]

Google Office is Live

Looks like Google hasn’t just been focusing on their YouTube purchase and nothing else. The pseudo-tagged “Google Office” is now available at http://docs.google.com.
Google Office isn’t quite accurate though, the name on the site itself is Google Docs & Spreadsheet. Pretty boring don’t you think? And too long! I doubt they could have really gotten away […]

Adding Page Numbers by Default in Word

Although this doesn’t have anything directly to do with the coming version of Word, I figured I’d help out a fellow b5 blogger and maybe some other people with this post.
Anne over at The Golden Pencil had a recent post venting her frustrations with goat dancing with Microsoft Word. All she wants to do is […]
