Adobe Labs: BlazeDS

by Jerome Locson on December 19th, 2007

adobelogo-full.jpgToday, I am into updating my software vocabulary and until I stumbled into the blog site of Ryan Stewart, one of the Rich Internet Application Evangelist employed at Adobe. His entry “Blaze on AIR For New Kinds of RIAs” showcased the new technology released by Adobe called BlazeDS. What I did next was checking it out at the Adobe Labs for more product details.

According to Adobe Labs, “BlazeDS is the server-based Java remoting and web messaging technology that enables developers to easily connect to back-end distributed data and push data in real-time to Adobe® Flex™ and Adobe AIR™ applications for more responsive rich Internet application (RIA) experiences.

Ryan Stewart says, “…I think BlazeDS and AIR are going to let people create new classes of applications in a lot of different verticals. BlazeDS is an open source version of our LiveCycle Data Services (LCDS) product.”
