EditGrid: The web equivalent of Excel

by Kyle on April 29th, 2007

EditGrid is not really the web version of Excel, however, it is by far the most robust web-based spreadsheet application I’ve ever used. EditGrid is free to use and has tons of features. EditGrid has a look and feel of Microsoft Excel, but it is web-based. In regards to functionality, EditGrid blows Google Spreadsheets and Documents out of the water. If you’re looking for a free alternative to Microsoft Office, check out EditGrid. I find it extremely refreshing that you can use EditGrid without giving an email address. EditGrid has enough features for the regular Excel user including over 500 functions, and just under 40 different types of graphs and charts. EditGrid is compatible with all common spreadsheet formats including Excel, CSV, Open Office, Gnumeric, and Lotus, and with EditGrid you can share your documents exactly as you can with Google Spreadsheets. EditGrid supports spreadsheet formatting, multiple sheets per workbook and much, much more.

The following is a link to a public spreadsheet so you can get the feel of EditGrid: Public sheet
