Lotus Notes Responds to Google Office

by Jason on August 31st, 2006

Okay, it’s not directly related to Office 12, but thought I’d share this informaiton about Lotus Note’s response to the Google Office addition (it’s not really an addition is it, I mean all these apps already existed independently). I used Lotus Notes for over 5 years at one job and couldn’t stand it. I just didn’t like the way things were organized at all in the user interface or process flow of daily activities.
Greg over at the IBM Eye has a post about it here. My favorite snippet from the post is:

Notes isn’t for the little guy… it’s for serious, secure, multi admin type shops. These shops won’t let their mission critical apps sit on google’s servers.

Are you a little guy or a big guy? That’s got to impact your choice for trying office applications.
