Ni hao, WPS Office!
Yup. Ni Hao! (means Hello! in Chinese). I wish to talk about WPS (Word Processing System) Office - an office suite alternative to MS Office which targets to reach a wider Chinese market. The proprietary software is developed by Kingsoft, a software company based in China.
To be honest, I really don’t know Chinese and while I am in their website searching for more product information, I just looked at the pictures posted… haha. Chinese characters are alien to my vocabulary. Maybe I should learn few. Oop’s just found the english version of the products website, at http://en.kingsoft.com/office.htm.

Kingsoft Office 2007 is a Microsoft Office compatible suite of applications. It comprises of Writer, Spreadsheets and Presentation, all of which have a close resemblance to the familiar layout and functionality we all are used to.
Kingsoft Office 2007 is set to redesign how we work and demonstrate new levels of document compatibility. Either select on of this overly generous traditional version trial or choose the fantastic move-trial version we’ll offer later for a good ol’ fashioned test.
You can try and download it for evaluation. It allows 180 trial day period. 20MB file size and compatible with Microsoft Office files.
