The IBM Lotus Symphony 1

by Jerome Locson on June 7th, 2008

ibm-lotus-symphony.jpgIt’s Official! IBM Lotus Symphony now achieved the status of version 1.0

Still, it’s free to download for both personal and corporate use. This office suite from IBM works for both Windows and Linux operating systems. Much like the rival office suites like OpenOffice.org and Microsoft Office, IBM Lotus Symphony also allows you to create, edit and share documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.

IBM Lotus Symphony 1 now provides better performance, usability enhancements and functionalities like interoperability with MS Office, OpenOffice.org and SmartSuite; up to 24 international languages. One major leap with version is that of its support for Open Document Format (ODF). (Click here to view its Release Notes).

You can also add plug-ins and you can browse some plug-ins here.
